Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen this afternoon sent a message to his compatriots, reaffirming the Royal Government’s commitment to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
Currently, Cambodia has been facing the disaster caused by COVID-19 and the Royal Government has been taking some measures to fight against this deadly disease, wrote the Premier in his message.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen also recalled the donation of US$300,000 from Their Majesties the King and Queen-Mother to the Royal Government to fulfill the above-said duty.
Besides, he added, a number of charitable people have already extended their financial contributions.
The Royal Government of Cambodia has set two places to receive donations from charitable people - the National Committee for Combating COVID-19 located in the Ministry of Health, and the Prime Minister's Office, Samdech Hun Sen pointed out.
Up to now, a total of 47 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Cambodia, of them there are 28 Cambodians, 3 British, 2 French, a Canadian, a Belgian, 11 Malaysians, and a Chinese who has already recovered.
