Phnom Penh’s Fifth Flyover Put in Temporary Use

Psar Dei Hoy Flyover, the fifth of its kind in Phnom Penh located at the intersection between the Russian Federation Blvd. and Hanoi Street, was put into temporary use this morning.

The event was presided over by H.E. Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister, Minister of Public Works and Transport.

The opening for temporary use is aimed to contribute to reducing traffic congestion during the Khmer Traditional New Year to be celebrated this weekend.

The construction of this 605-metre-long and 16.5-metre-wide flyover began in August 2016 and was funded by China.

The other four exiting flyovers are Kbal Thnal Flyover along Preah Monivong Blvd. adjacent to Preah Monivong Bridge, the January 7 Flyover at the intersection of Pet Lok Sang (Monks' Hospital) traffic lights, the Stung Meanchey Flyover, and January 5 Flyover.
