Parliament Extends Condolences to Family of Late Lawmaker H.E. Hun Neng

Senate President Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhum and National Assembly (NA) President Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin have expressed their deepest condolences over the passing of H.E. Hun Neng, a Member of the NA Standing Committee, Chairman of the NA Commission on Interior, National Defence and Civil Service, and a Lawmaker for Kampong Cham provincial constituency.

“This is a great loss of an outstanding figure who had sacrificed his physical and mental resources to serve the nation,” wrote Samdech Say Chhum and Samdech Heng Samrin in their separate condolence letters to Lok Chumteav Leang Vuoch Cheng, spouse of late H.E. Hun Neng.

They also spoke highly of late H.E. Hun Neng’s heroism and key contribution to the national liberation and development in all circumstances, particularly his active participation with the legislative body and the Royal Government of Cambodia for the best interests of the motherland.

The concluded their letters with praying for the soul of late H.E. Hun Neng to rest in peace.

H.E. Hun Neng, the older brother of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, passed away on May 5 evening at the age of 72 years old.
