More than 13,000 police forces will be deployed to ensure security and order during the in-coming Water Festival � one of Cambodia's biggest traditional festivals.
The information was shared by Cambodian National Police Commissioner General Neth Savoeun when leading a discussion of the security and order issues for the festival recently.
The deployed forces, he added, include those both in police and civil uniform.
At least 295 racing boats are expected to join the competitions and 15 illuminated boats will cheer the nights during this year's Water Festival taking place from Nov. 21 to 23.
Thousands of people across Cambodia will attend the annual festival to take place in the heart of Phnom Penh along the river.
