Over 1,000 Journalists Registered for Forthcoming ASEAN Summits and Related Summits

As of Oct. 23, 2022, a total of 1,016 journalists have been registered to cover the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits and Related Summits in Phnom Penh in November, said a report of the Ministry of Information’s General Department of Information and Broadcasting (INB).

Of them, it pointed out, 244 are women and 644 are foreign journalists from 30 countries.

“Up to 1,400 journalists are expected to register for the upcoming ASEAN Summits and Related Summits in Phnom Penh,” said H.E. Phos Sovann, INB Director General.

Most of the registered foreign journalists are from Japan (145), the Republic of Korea (127), and the U.S. (97), he pointed out.

The media registration will continue until Oct. 31, 2022 via www.asean2022.inb.gov.kh.

According to an INB’s announcement, interested media personnel is required to attach necessary documents, including recent passport photo (4×6 or 400×514 pixels in colour against plain white background without shadow) in .jpg format, valid national identity card or passport, valid press card, letter of assignment, and COVID-19 vaccination card or certificate.

The accredited media personnel shall collect their media badge at the International Media Centre located at M-Floor of Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel on Nov. 7, it added.

Cambodia is going to host the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits and Related Summits in Phnom Penh from Nov. 8 to 13, 2022.
