Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has granted farewell meeting to outgoing European Union Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. George Edgar.
In the meeting at the ministry office here in Phnom Penh early this week, the EU ambassador thanked the minister H.E. Veng Sakhon and his team for their strong support and good cooperation with the union's mission in Cambodia by far.
It is sad, he continued, that the EU has decided to impose safeguard measures on Cambodian rice into the region due to its challenging market.
From his side, H.E. Veng Sakhon expressed his appreciation of EU's contribution to the development of Cambodia, particularly in agriculture, forestry and fisheries.
He is positive that the EU will continue to support the Royal Government of Cambodia to transform the Kingdom into an upper-middle income nation by 2030.
According to the ministry, Cambodia and the EU will sign 87 million Euro-worth fisheries project in the near future.
