CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines Police still have no leads in the killing of the wife of a Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. official’s wife.
Superintendent Chitadel Gaoiran, spokesperson for the Calabarzon police, said yesterday they have yet to identify a suspect in the murder of Gloria Gonzales, whose body was found in an abandoned Toyota Innova in Barangay San Vicente in Biaan, Laguna on Sunday. Gonzales’ husband, John, is vice president and chief for corporate relationship management of PLDT.
“We are hoping our investigators sent there to conduct a backtracking investigation could get a lead,” Gaoiran said.
She said there was no significant information in the footage taken by surveillance cameras along Barangay Cabilang Baybay in Carmona and Southwoods on June 25 from 1:46 p.m. to 2:03 p.m., when the victim was reportedly seen driving her car.
Gaoiran said the task force created to investigate the killing would also review the footage taken by surveillance cameras in Silang, Cavite.
Five persons have been invited for questioning, probers said.
