No summit scheduled for March between Yoon, Kishida

SEOUL, President Yoon Suk Yeol and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida have no plans to hold a summit meeting in March, Yoon's office said Friday. Japanese broadcaster Fuji News Network had earlier reported that Kishida could visit South Korea in late March, coinciding with the time when Seoul will host the opening games of the Major League Baseball regular season. "There is no Korea-Japan summit being pushed for March nor do we have any plan to hold one," a senior presidential official told reporters. The official noted, however, that the two leaders can visit each other at any time at their convenience just as they held seven meetings last year since resuming "shuttle diplomacy" between the two countries after 12 years.
