No Price Setting for SEA Games 2023 TV Broadcasting Rights by Cambodia

AKP Phnom Penh, Cambodia has not set the price of TV broadcasting right sale for the 32nd SEA Games to be hosted by the country.

The confirmation was made recently by H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of the Cambodian SEA Games Organising Committee (CAMSOC) and the Cambodian ASEAN Para Games Organising Committee (CAMAPGOC).

“We had a discussion and negotiation with the National Olympic Committee of all the SEA Games country members. Those members had worked with their local TVs before negotiating the price with us. So Cambodia is not the one who sets the price,” he underlined.

Cambodia is committed to complying with SEA Games standard and practice with high integrity, including the promotion of sports competitions, continued the secretary general.

Sale of SEA Games 2023 TV broadcasting rights is authorised to the host by the Southeast Asian Games Federation Council, and Cambodia will follow the rule on the sale of the rights, H.E. Vath Chamroeun emphasised.
