Phnom Penh International Airport has introduced new and more convenient parking lot and fee-paying facilities for its increasing guests.
PPIA General Manager Ms. Chloe Lapeyre shared the update in a recent press conference at the airport.
The high-tech systems equipped, she said, will allow new and user-friendly way of parking, reducing traffic, and better services of the airport's attendants for passengers.
She continued that with the new facilities, traffic at the parking compound will be three times faster, more secure and flexible.
There are also reserved lanes for prepaid parking cards called Svay Cards for frequent users, and the holders of the cards can enter and exit the car park and express lanes.
The improved parking service at the airport does not lead to significant fee increase for cars and motorbikes using it.
The parking compound at PPIA now can accommodate 450 cars, and an average of 3,000 cars using the space every day.
