There are in total 22,967 polling stations throughout the country for the 6th National Election to be held on July 29, 2018, said the National Election Committee (NEC) in a press release made public yesterday.
According to the press release, Phnom Penh municipal constituency has the largest number of polling stations with 2,138, followed by Prey Veng provincial constituencies with 1,827 and 1,734, respectively.
The forthcoming polls will be prepared for the 8,380,217 eligible people registered on the NEC's voter lists.
According to NEC, 20 out of 41 political parties have been registered at NEC for the general elections, but as of May 17, only 8 have been officially recognised by NEC while the rest are in the checking process.
NEC has already announced the period for the political campaign that will fall from July 7 to 27, 2018.
