Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) H.E. Chea Chanto has led a delegation to Thailand to attend an annual meeting with his Thai counterpart H.E. Veerathai Santiprabhob.
According to the NBC's news release, the meeting was held in Chiang Mai on Feb. 24, 2018 to further strengthen the cooperation between the two central banks.
Both sides exchanged views on new developments of the economic and financial situation, challenges and ways to increase their cooperation.
They also welcomed the good outcomes of technical cooperation and set forth main objectives for the strengthening and expansion of their bilateral cooperation, especially in banking control and payment systems, foreign exchange market development, promotion of local currency for bilateral trade and investment, and human resource training.
Currently, four Thai commercial banks are operating in Cambodia.
