Natural disasters in Cambodia during the first eight months of 2018 claimed 138 human lives and injured many others.
The accumulated figures were shared recently in a public release by the National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM).
It detailed that of the mentioned death toll, 88 were lost to lightning, 44 to floods and 6 to wind gusts, and the incidents caused mild and severe injuries to many other people.
Across Cambodia, added the source, natural disasters affected more than 520,000 families, 90,000 hectares of rice paddies and other crops, and over 10,000 kilometres of roads.
