National Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations Building Inaugurated

The building of the National Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations was inaugurated here yesterday afternoon by Senior Minister H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

This new building is a historical achievement as Cambodia established the first ever National Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations, he said at the inauguration ceremony.

H.E. Prak Sokhonn expressed his strong hope that the institute will build more qualified human resources in the field of diplomacy for the nation, underlined the Cambodian top diplomat.

In the context of the country's foreign policy, Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has recently laid stress on neutrality and non-alignment. We have applied a neutral and non-aligned foreign policy, we communicate with all countries, and our main goal is to promote socio-economic development, he said.

Cambodia has been implementing a policy for more sub-regional, regional and international integration in the framework of FTA (free trade area) partnership with all countries, added Samdech Techo Prime Minister, pointing out that the Kingdom has been negotiating with different countries for free trade partnership or region and sub-region like ASEAN, ASEAN-China, ASEAN-Japan, ASEAN-EU, ASEAN-U.S., ASEAN-India free trade areas.
