NA President Grants Some 81 Houses to Poor Families in Thbong Khmum Province
Some 81 brick houses have been donated to poor families in Thlok Trach village (Development Village) of Kak commune, Ponhea Krek district, Thbong Khmum province, near the Cambodian-Vietnamese border.
The houses were handed over by Samdech Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin, President of the National Assembly; in a ceremony held on Feb. 21 with the participation of Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhom, President of the Senate; Venerable Tep Vong, Supreme Patriarch General of the Dhamma Mahanikaya Order of Cambodia;and many other senior officials and Vietnamese delegates.
The houses of 5 meters long and 7 meters wide, along with a latrine cost about US$10,000 each. The construction was financed by Samdech Heng Samrin and many charitable people.
