The National Assembly (NA) of Cambodia in its second session of the sixth legislature has endorsed draft laws on the enhancement of investment in energy sector, Cambodia's membership for Agreement of Port State Measures (PSMA), and national strategic development plan for 2019-2023.
The session took place at NA Palace in Phnom Penh this morning under the chairmanship of the body's President Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin.
According to its press release issued after the session, for energy sector, the National Assembly endorsed three draft laws on warranty payments of the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) to three private companies � SPHP (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., Schneitec Renewable Co., Ltd., and Schneitec Co., Ltd., for development of national economy and society and poverty alleviation of fellow citizens.
The fourth draft law covers the approval for Cambodia to become a member of Agreement on Port State Measures (PSMA) to prevent, deter and eliminate illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing in order to ensure long-term conservation and sustainable use of living resources and marine ecological system.
The fifth draft law is the approval for National Strategic Development Plan 2019-2023 to implement priority policies of the government as stated in the Rectangular Strategy, phase IV, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of Cambodia for 2016-2030.
