A “beautiful day” is in store for New Jersey to finish the weekend.
The National Weather Service’s Mount Holly office expects dry conditions, clear skies and temperatures mainly in the mid- to upper-60s on Sunday. The nice weather is forecast to carry into the beginning on the work week as well, meteorologists said, with parts of the region enjoying temperatures near or above 70 degrees.
In Newark, temperatures are expected to peak near 66 degrees on Sunday and fall to a low of 46 degrees on Sunday night. Monday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny weather and a high near 68 degrees in the city.
On the western edge of the state in Trenton, temperatures are also expected to reach around 66 degrees on Sunday. A low of 42 degrees is expected on Sunday night but temperatures will climb back up on Monday, reaching a high near 70 degrees.
It will be cooler in Atlantic City.
The oceanfront town is expected to see a high near 54 degrees on Sunday and a low around 38 degrees on Sunday night. On Monday, temperatures in Atlantic City are forecast to hit 64 degrees.
