Morocco Intends to Boost Cooperation with Cambodia

The Kingdom of Morocco is willing to foster its cooperation with the Kingdom of Cambodia as well as with the whole ASEAN region.

The intention was made known by visiting H.E. Rachid Talbi El Alami, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Morocco while paying a courtesy call on Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen at the Peace Palace here this afternoon, according to H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Personal Assistant to the Cambodian Premier.

H.E. Rachid Talbi El Alami spoke highly of the development of Cambodia and expressed Morocco’s delight to attend the 43rd General Assembly of ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) in Phnom Penh as an observer.

For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen welcomed the intention and encouraged the Moroccan side to first become a sectoral dialogue partner of ASEAN.

For the bilateral relations, both sides can start by boosting the economic and trade ties, the foundation for the good relations in the political field and others, said Samdech Techo Prime Minister, underlining that they could consider the establishment of double taxation agreement to facilitate investments from the two countries.
