Ministry of Justice and United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) have discussed more cooperation on judicial sector.

The discussion took place here in Phnom Penh on Feb. 7 between H.E. Koeut Rith, Minister of Justice and Mr. Julien Garsany, UNODC Deputy Regional Representative for Southeast Asia and the Pacific.

The meeting also touched on the draft strategic dialogue between Cambodia and UNODC, strategic goals of the Ministry of Justice on Cambodia’s criminal justice system, and other priorities.

Mr. Julien Garsany spoke highly of the good cooperation between UNODC and concerned institutions including the national police and prison department.

UNODC will continue promoting the collaboration with the ministry in the mentioned areas in the future, he added.
