Ministry of Land Management’s New Office Building Officially Inaugurated

The new office building of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction was put into official use this morning under the presidency of Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.
Speaking on the occasion, the Premier expressed appreciation for the new building, adding that the former building will be handed over to the Ministry of Rural Development while the latter’s building will be given to Phnom Penh Municipal Department of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction.
According to Samdech Techo Prime Minister, three ministries’ new office buildings are scheduled to be inaugurated this year. The other two are the Ministry of Public Works and Transport inaugurated in January and the Ministry of National Defence in late December.
Located on an area of 4.5 hectares in Sangkat Khmougn, Khan Sensok, Phnom Penh, the 7-storey new building of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction was broken ground in January 2020, and the construction, costing over US$28 million, was completed in March 2021.
The inauguration ceremony was previously planned for April 2021, but was postponed to November 2021 due to COVID-19 pandemic.
