H.E. Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister and Minister of Public Works and Transport, received a courtesy call from 24 winners of Japanese Government of Scholarship, at the ministry office this morning.
H.E. Sun Chanthol highlighted the country's socio-economic progress, development and achievements, including equal investment opportunity, the flow of foreign tourists, and construction of physical infrastructure.
The moves, he added, created jobs and income for local people, and this is made possible through sustained peace, political stability and social order in the country.
H.E. Sun Chanthol also mentioned about the efforts of his ministry to ensure more convenient public works and transport services.
The minister continued that more and more Japanese investors are coming to Cambodia, thanks to on-going comprehensive reforms to effectively and efficiently facilitate investments.
He advised the scholarship recipients to study hard, build good relations among students, learn as much as possible about culture and development of Japan.
