Cambodian Minister of Rural Development H.E. Chea Sophara has highlighted the ministry's achievements in 2015, mainly in clean water supply, rural sanitation and rural road renovation.
Speaking at the annual meeting to review work results in 2015 and put forth new objectives for 2016 held here on Feb. 23 with the participation of some 700 relevant rural development officials, H.E. Chea Sophara said the Ministry of Rural Development has tried its best to attain its strategic goals.
The ministry has strictly carried out the government's public administrative reform program and the public financial management reform program, including the reduction of inactive officials and encouragement of active officials, said the minister.
Besides, he added, the ministry always pays attention to the development of rural communities and economy.
The ministry's achievements reflected its commitments to implement the government's development policies so as to ensure better service provision to people, H.E. Chea Sophara underlined.
