Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng, has affirmed that there is no civil society organisations (CSOs) in the ministry's blacklist.
Speaking at the 2nd Government-CSOs Partnership Forum held here yesterday, Samdech Sar Kheng said all registered CSOs are in the legal list, except those requesting to delete themselves from the list.
According to Samdech Sar Kheng, by the end of 2018, a total of 2,297 associations and 3,226 NGOs have been registered at the Ministry of Interior.
In 2018 alone, there were nearly 300 associations and NGOs registered for their operations in Cambodia, an evidence to prove that freedom of expression is promoted in the Kingdom without any obstruction.
