CALGARY, July 10, 2015 /CNW/ – Labour markets in Canada are complicated. Employment patterns vary greatly by age, by region and according to current economic conditions. But, they have a great deal to tell us about the REAL state of the economy.
That’s what Phillip Cross’ latest study on Canada’s labour market aims to do. The report opens the curtain on what could be the most important economic indicator we have.
The results are surprising. Notwithstanding a raft of negative economic indicators, Cross’ labour market report tells a more subtle story and will be a critical addition to the current conversation on the state of the Canadian economy.
On Tuesday, July 14, The School of Public Policy will release Cross’ report.
The report will be released online at http://www.policyschool.ucalgary.ca/?q=research on Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. mountain time. A press release will be issued simultaneously across CNW. The author will be available by contacting Morten Paulsen, below.
