Many Cooperation Projects to be Discussed during Cambodian PM’s Visit to China

Many development cooperation projects, including high-speed rail, will be discussed during the upcoming visit of Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen to China.

The information was shard by the Premier at the 5th get-together with more than 4,000 journalists held at Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre in Phnom Penh this afternoon.

“[…] We may seek support from China to build a high-speed rail in Cambodia,” he said.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen is scheduled to visit China on Feb. 10, which marks the 3rd year of his visit to China (2020) when others turned away from the country due to COVID-19 fear.

The Cambodian Prime Minister’s forthcoming visit to China is also part of the top-level visit exchange on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of Cambodia-China diplomatic ties.

According to Samdech Techo Hun Sen, he will leave for an official visit to China on Feb. 9 and return home on Feb. 11. “That day (Feb. 11), when I leave China, His Majesty the King will depart Phnom Penh for a visit in China as well,” he said.
