Lawyer Group to Help Poor Women To Be Launched Soon

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has officially announced his decision to create a group of lawyers to assist the poor throughout the country.

Today, I'd like to officially declare the decision to establish a lawyer group to help the workers and poor people across the country, said the Premier on his Facebook page this morning.

At least two lawyers will be deployed to assist the poor in each of the 25 provinces and capital, he pointed out.

From now on, poor people and workers can have access to legal services from me with free of charge, underlined Samdech Techo Hun Sen.

While presiding over a get-together with factory workers and employees in Ang Snuol district, Kandal province this morning, the Prime Minister said he has in his hands some 2 billion Riel (about US$500,000) for the operation of this Techo Sen's legal team.

According to Samdech Techo Hun Sen, he has commissioned Mr. Ky Tech, the Lawyer's Council President, to form the group which will be launched in the near future. The group will be headed by a chief and four deputy chiefs, he added.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen confirmed on the occasion that the lawyer group will assist not only poor women, but also workers.
