Kampot Tourism Port Construction to Complete in March

Construction of Kampot tourism port in Kampot coastal province is expected to complete by the end of March 2022, according to the Kampot Provincial Department of Tourism.

Mr. Soy Sinol, Director of the Department of Tourism, said on Jan. 6 that the port construction project has been previously scheduled to be completed by the end of 2021, but it is delayed due to disruptions caused by the COVID-19 crisis.

“The construction was previously planned for the end of 2021, but it is now postponed until the end of March 2022,” he said.

However, the director did not have any details regarding the percentage of the port’s construction progress.

Built under the ADB financing of US$8 million, Kampot Tourism Port broke ground on Aug. 8, 2018 in Chhouk district, Kampot province.
