The Japanese Film Festival 2018 in Siem Reap will begin tomorrow and run through until Mar. 4 at Major Cineplex in the province, said the Embassy of Japan in a press release.
Twelve (12) Japanese films will be screened with Khmer and English Subtitles at the above-mentioned theatre during the three-day event organised by Japan Foundation and the Embassy of Japan, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts and Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Centre (CJCC), it pointed out.
According to the same source, those Japanese films have been selected from a wide range of different categories in Siem Reap. As the selection includes cartoon, drama, documentary films and some of which are awarded-winning films, with these film portraying various aspects of Japanese life, society and culture, the festival will provide a good opportunity for audience to familiarise themselves with Japan and its people.
Japanese Film Festival is held every year since 2015 to promote the understanding of Japanese life and culture through film screening among Cambodian people.
