To date, about 96 percent of Cambodian farmers countrywide can afford agricultural machinery to support their farming activities.
The information was shared by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries H.E. Veng Sakhon during a recent press conference in Siem Reap to wrap up a regional forum to promote ecological forum.
The figure, he added, suggested an increase from about 94 percent in 2017.
The agriculture minister is positive about the trend that Cambodian farmers are using the machinery to replace cattle as assisting labour, and beginning to raise cattle for commercial purpose.
