The Minister of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva, urged on Saturday in Huambo city the leaders of the Adventist Church of the 7th Day of central and southern region of Angola, to contribute to the cultivation of the spirit of love, unity and reconciliation among brothers for the consolidation of peace.
Speaking at the meeting with the leaders of that church, as part of her visit to Huambo city, the official expressed the need for a moralization work, for the return to the mother church of all believers who were taken to the mountains on behalf of the doctrine of citizen José Julino Kalupeteca, founder of the Adventist Church “Luz do Mundo”, which operated illegally.
She said that this doctrine does not correspond to what is stated in the constitution and in the Holy Bible, which defends life and the communication of man with God.
“We cannot remain indifferent, to look and see that children, young men and women to discredit life, denying the coexistence with other members of society and prefer living in the mountains, not knowing the depth of the message we share”, she said.
On the other hand, the minister thanked for the work of the 7th Day Adventist Church has developed in the fields of education, health and other actions in the most deprived communities that join the government’s efforts.
Rosa Cruz e Silva reiterated the commitment to supporting the actions of the 7th Day Adventist Church, within a certain work plan that the Ministry of Culture has been carrying out, through the Religious Affairs Institute.
