His Majesty the King Visits Zhejiang Province, China

His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, paid an official visit to Zhejiang province on Mar. 16, on the sidelines of his routine medical checkup in China, according to Royal du Cambodge Facebook page.
His Majesty the King was warmly welcomed by H.E. Yuan Jiajun, Secretary of Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China.
The Cambodian monarch visited historical constructions in Jiaxing city as well as Jiaxing river and the Nanhu Revolution Memorial Hall.
H.E. Yuan Jiajun highlighted that the traditional friendship between China and Cambodia is very meaningful and the relations and cooperation between the two countries have grown significantly in recent years.
Zhejiang is where the Red Ship of the Chinese Revolution began and the first place for reform where President H.E. Xi Jinping’s ideas on socialism in the new era officially emerged.
H.E. Yuan Jiajun hoped that through this high-level visit, His Majesty the King will have a deeper understanding of Zhejiang province and the relations between the two sides will become closer.
His Majesty the King spoke highly of the visit to Zhejiang province, adding that the rapid economic and social development of Zhejiang is a great achievement under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party.
The Cambodian monarch expressed his strong hope that under President Xi’s leadership, China would see new and better achievements.
