H.E. Pan Sorasak Attends the 11th CLV DTA JCC in Vietnam

AKP Phnom Penh, Cambodia- Laos- Vietnam Development Triangle Area Joint Coordination Committee (CLV DTA JCC) has given an opportunity for us to review all commitment and development implemented so far in accordance with the vision of the 9th CLV Summit held in Siem Reap province, the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The note was marked by Minister of Commerce H.E. Pan Sorasak while leading his delegation to attend the 11th CLV DTA JCC in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on Dec. 19, said Ministry of Commerce's press release.

The commitment, he continued, intends to have good traditional relation and to be good neighboring countries that has always shared mutual benefits among the three countries and people.

H.E. Pan Sorasak highlighted that CLV JCC not only expands our cooperation in the framework of CLV DTA which has precisely stated about significance of each country linking to strategy of economic cooperation in sub-region, but also plays key roles to enhance ASEAN connectivity and strengthens ASEAN Community, basically reducing development gaps, in addition to the promotion of well-being and livelihood of our people.

According to the same source, the 11th CLV DTA JCC approved the request that CLV should create action plans on the implementation of Master Plan on Scio-Economic Development 2010-2020, noted the efforts of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam that has cooperated with Cambodia and Vietnam (particularly in data and information provision) in order to end development plan on rubber sector as well as requested all parties to make cooperation closely to ensure effectiveness of carrying out the plans, and requested the Cambodia to accelerate internal legal procedures to make agreement to promote and coordinate trade for CLV DTA into effect and encourage the three parties to cooperate in making plan for carrying the plans.

During the meeting, Ministers of CLV gave duties to Vietnamese working group to draft on tourism sector development for CLV DTA.

The meeting also noticed necessity to make website of CLV DTA go smoothly to boost investment and suggested technical working group in charge of CLV DTA website solving difficult problems in uploading information while relevant agencies and provinces of the three nations have to update information regularly.

The CLV also observed that technical working group of CLV have tried to discuss common points to reach agreement on draft on action plan for economic connectivity of CLV 2030.
