H.E. Chiv Keng, Appointed President of Supreme Court

H.E. Chiv Keng, Acting President of the Supreme Court, has been appointed President of this highest court in Cambodia.

The appointment was approved by the Supreme Council of the Magistracy in a meeting held here this morning under the chairmanship of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia.

Besides, the Supreme Council of the Magistracy’s meeting agreed to transfer and nominate 47 presidents, vice presidents and judges at the Supreme Court, Appealed Court, and Municipal-Provincial Courts.

At the same time, the request to transfer and appoint 25 deputy prosecutors-general, prosecutors, and deputy prosecutors at the three levels of courts was also approved.

H.E. Chiv Keng, who was vice president of the Supreme Court since 2014, replaces H.E. Kitti Nittikosal Pundit Dith Munty who has retired since Aug. 15, 2023.

Before taking this role, H.E. Chiv Keng was Director of Phnom Penh Municipal Court from 2005 to 2014.
