Government To Spend US$2 million for Renovation of Psychiatric Care and Treatment Centre

Royal Government of Cambodia is planning to spend approximately US$2 million for the process of repairing a Psychiatric Care and Treatment Centre.

H.E. Vong Sauth, Minister of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation, told reporters after he inspected the centre in Kandal province early this week.

H.E. Minister said the centre will respond to the demand for quality services in the care and treatment of people with mental health problems in Cambodia.

Located in Baku commune, Kandal Stung district, the centre will replace the old one, which firstly located in Khan Porsenchey, Phnom Penh. It has four old buildings and a new building being constructed and expected to finish later this year or early next year, H.E. Vong Sauth underlined.
