Royal Government of Cambodia has spent approximately US$30 million a year on sub-national administrations in order to ensure their quality service provision, particularly on priority issues.
The update was shared yesterday by H.E. Ngan Chamroeun, Under Secretary of State for Interior, during a consultation meeting on the operation of city and district administrations here in Phnom Penh.
The government, added the under secretary of state, is greasing good governance at city, district and Khan levels with an annual investment of nearly US$300,000 each.
The European Union has so far contributed US$2 million to the commitment.
Also, the Royal Government of Cambodia has been securing an income source in order to sustain the decentralisation process.
