Royal Government of Cambodia strongly condemns the killing of three forestry patrollers and intensive investigation is on-going.
On behalf of the government with direct authority in the area, Ministries of Interior and Environment have issued condolence letters to the families of the victims and statements condemning the criminal act.
The condemnation comes as a thorough investigation led by General Hong Vinol, Deputy Commander of the National Military Police, following the incident that took place on Jan. 30 at Mondulkiri's Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary.
The three victims are the sanctuary's ranger, a National Military Police official and a Wildlife Conservation Society staffer who encountered the deadly armed clash when carrying out their routine forest patrol at night.
