Germany has expressed interest to collaborate with Cambodia on management of solid and liquid wastes, especially on rubbish recycling and plastic reduction.
The intention was underlined by Mr. Manfred Grund, a visiting member of German Bundestag and Chairman of the German-Central Asian Parliamentary Group when received by H.E. Say Samal, Minister of Environment here in Phnom Penh on Monday.
Speaking highly of Cambodia's robust economic development, Mr. Manfred Grund also noticed the country's priority on environmental management.
From his end, H.E. Say Samal welcomed the interest of the German delegate and shared with him reform endeavour of the Royal Government of Cambodia, including environmental management for sustainable development.
Germany, continued the minister, is considered as one of the countries significantly contributing to Cambodia's development in all domains, and thanked the European country for that.
He also asked the visitor to consider providing more capacity building and technical assistance on natural resource management to his competent line officials, particularly through Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung.
