GDCE’s Revenue Increases 25 Percent in First Half 2019

General Department of Customs and Excise (GDCE) earned US$1,475 million as revenues in the first half of 2019, up 25.5 percent compared to the same period last year.

The statistic was shared in a meeting held on July 24 under the presidency of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance H.E. Aun Pornmoniroth.

The income from the sector, as of June this year, was equivalent to 65 percent of 2019 full year target.

The main revenue sources are the imports of vehicles and machinery which accounts for 52 percent of the total revenue, petroleum and energy 17.1 percent, and other goods and construction materials 29.5 percent.

H.E. Aun Pornmoniroth expressed his appreciation of the performance of the GDCE team and relevant stakeholders, and encouraged them to keep up with the good work.
