Free University Education for High School Graduates with Disabilities

Royal Government of Cambodia has announced to offer free tertiary education for the students with disabilities who have finished their high school study.

H.E. Em Chanmakara, Secretary General of Disability Action Council Secretariat General, was quoted by local media as saying that the scholarship for disabled students reflects the government's commitment to further include them.

It also intends to address discrimination by engaging them with ordinary students, added the secretary general.

He urged students with disabilities to study hard and seize the given opportunity so as to successfully enter job markets.

As of 2019, Cambodia has a total of 60,610 students with disabilities � of them 5,419 are high school students and 353 are university students.
