Cambodia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has confirmed the participation of Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen in the 75th Session of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN-ESCAP).
According to the ministry's press release, the UN-ESCAP's 75th Session will be in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand, on May 27 under the theme Empowering people and ensuring inclusiveness and equality at the invitation of H.E. Dr. Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, the United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of the UN-ESCAP.
Samdech Techo Prime Minister will be accompanied by H.E. Senior Minister Ly Thuch, President of the National Committee for Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, H.E. Dr. Ing Kantha Phavi, Minister of Women's Affairs, and other senior government officials, it pointed out.
In recognition of Cambodia's remarkable achievements in its economic and social development, UN-ESCAP has extended the invitation to Samdech Techo Prime Minister to deliver a key note address in the Opening Session focusing on Cambodia's experiences in socio-economic development thereby improving the quality of life of all Cambodian people, underlined the press release.
