Phnom Penh will host first-ever China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO)-Cambodia Exhibition 2018 � the platform positively contributing to trade relations particularly between Cambodia and China.
Co-organised by Ministry of Commerce and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the exhibition to commence this Friday at Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre will feature about 440 booths run by 290 Cambodian, Chinese and ASEAN companies, said H.E. Seang Thay, Director-General of Trade Promotion General Directorate at Ministry of Commerce during yesterday’s press conference.
Through trade fair, bilateral trade relation will be enhanced  because it will not only provide chances for traders to showcase their products, but also be a platform for business matching, he continued.
Machinery and equipment, electronics and electrical appliances, agro-based products and foodstuffs, as well as the display of tourism investment cooperation are on the showcasing list of the three-day event.
Ms. Chen Min, Deputy Director of the Liaison Department of the CAEXPO Secretariat, was optimistic that the exercise will further promote trade cooperation between Cambodia and China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region under the One Belt One Road initiative.
