Cambodia is planning to establish an entrepreneurship support foundation and entrepreneurship development centre in order to increase competitiveness and boost the national economic growth.
The update was shared by Secretary of State at the Ministry of Economy and Finance H.E. Vongsey Vissoth in an event here in Phnom Penh recently.
H.E. Vongsey Vissoth continued that in addition to the creation of the foundation and centre, the Royal Government of Cambodia will put forward other support mechanisms such as banking for especially small and medium-sized enterprises, skills improvement, and beyond.
The secretary of state is positive that the planned initiatives will not only address hurdles of SMEs, but also contribute essentially to boosting national economic growth.
As assessed by the Cambodia Women Entrepreneurs Association (CWEA), Cambodia needs internationally standardised sanitary and phytosanitary toward broader exports to international markets among small and medium-sized enterprises.
