Emirates Airlines of United Arab Emirates (UAE) is planning to launch new flight from Phnom Penh to Bangkok, Thailand in coming early July, in addition to its over 150 destinations in 83 countries currently.
The update was shared by Mr. Abdulla Adnan, Manager of Emirates Airlines in Cambodia, while paying a courtesy call on H.E. Pan Sorasak, Minister of Commerce, at the ministry office on Thursday afternoon.
Emirates Airlines aimed to turn Dubai into a connecting point between the Eastern and the Western world, he said, adding that through this new flight, the company would use its Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 to carry Cambodian delegates to attend Dubai World Expo 2020.
H.E. Pan Sorasak welcomed the Emirate Airlines' new flight which would ease the flight experience of tourists and investors, both in Cambodia and Thailand.
H.E. Minister also thanked the Government of UAE for its support and facilitation for Cambodia to attend the Dubai World Expo 2020, adding the Expo would strengthen cooperation between Cambodia and UAE in main sectors like economy, trade, agriculture, technology, and human resource development.
Ministry of Commerce was looking forward to facilitating all investment projects proposed by the government and investors of UAE, he said.
