Easy2Learn Phase II Project Launched

The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Cambodia in collaboration with ChildFund Korea and child-focused international development agency, ChildFund Cambodia, have officially launched the “Easy2Learn Phase II” project at Chhloung district hall in Kratie province.

According to a KOICA Cambodia’s news release made public yesterday, after the fruitful outcome of Phase I, KOICA has dedicated to provide another US$1.4 to Childfund for the three years’ extension of Phase II.

The project targets children, teachers, and community members in 17 schools in Chhloung district, Kratie province with the objectives of improving children’s school academic performance and access and quality education availability.

It also supports peer-to-peer learning, tablets for e-learning, and teacher competence building. The 17 schools’ facilities will also be improved for up-to date child-friendly environment for student, and strengthen school leadership & management and administration.

The launching ceremony was presided over by Mr. Rho Hyunjun, Country Director of KOICA Cambodia Office, Mr. Prashant Verma, Country Director of ChildFund Cambodia, Mr. Thim Seangleng, Deputy District Governor, and Ms. Sora Baek, Representative of ChildFund Korea.

"KOICA will continuously support the Government and people of Cambodia," reaffirmed the news release.
