The ASEAN Defence Ministers' Meeting Retreat (ADMM Retreat) and the 6th ADMM-Plus in Thailand mainly focused on the fight against terrorism and the maintenance of peace and stability in the region.
Samdech Pichey Sena Tea Banh, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defence, told reporters at Phnom Penh International Airport yesterday upon his return from the ADMM Retreat and ADMM-Plus in Bangkok.
Each country pays attention to regional and global security affairs, the defence minister said, adding that countries around the world are taking every step to combat terrorism.
Defence ministers of the ten ASEAN member countries and their counterparts from partner countries such as China, Japan, Russia, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, India, the United States, etc. took part in the ADMM Retreat and ADMM-Plus.
On the sidelines of the meetings, Samdech Tea Banh held talks with some of his counterparts in ASEAN and from Central Africa.
