Cambodian Acting Prime Minister Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng has received a visiting Vietnamese delegation led by Lieut. Gen. Hoang Xuan Chien, Commander of the Border Guards Command of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
In the meeting taking place here in Phnom Penh yesterday, Lieut. Gen. Hoang Xuan Chien told Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng of his visit, the purpose of which is to continue strengthening cooperation between the two neighbouring countries' armed forces so as to ensure peace and development.
The senior military officer underlined that Vietnam treasures on-going strong cooperation with the armed forces, border defence polices and concerned institutions of Cambodia at all levels in order to facilitate borders crossing and trade and tourism relations.
For his part, Samdech Sar Kheng congratulated the fruitful results of work discussion between Cambodia's Ministry of National Defence as well as General Department of Immigration and Vietnam Police Force, stressing that both sides are committed to continue the dialogue.
The Royal Government of Cambodia and the Ministry of Interior are working hard to boost cooperation with Vietnam in all domains, especially in maintaining peace and development for both countries' peoples, he reiterated.
