DPM Sar Kheng Orders Intervention Against Election Threats

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng has ordered competent authorities under his supervision across Cambodia to intervene any threats to the forthcoming national election.

Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng gave the command in yesterday's meeting of the Permanent Security Command Committee for Elections here in Phnom Penh to ensure the security of the sixth-mandate election.

He considered high alert and necessary intervention against the election threats as foundation contributing vitally to a free, transparent, and fair political race.

As officially scheduled, Cambodia will hold its national election on July 29, 2018 and twenty political parties have registered for it.
