Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng has received recently visiting State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan H.E. Nakane Kazuyuki at the ministry office here in Phnom Penh.
H.E. Nakane Kazuyuki underlined in the meeting that Japan continues to strengthen cooperation with the Cambodian counterpart.
The visiting Japanese state minister for foreign affairs also asked Cambodia to help ensure safety of Japanese tourists and investors in the country and facilitate visa application at the Consular Office of Japan in Siem Reap.
Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng responded positively to the proposals, stressing that it is the duty of his ministry to take care of security of Japanese in Cambodia.
The Cambodian DPM also expressed his appreciation of H.E. Nakane Kazuyuki's visit and his optimism for enhanced relationship between the two countries, especially after the opening of the Japanese Consular Office in Siem Reap.
