DPM Samdech Sar Kheng Receives Delegation of China’s Criminal Investigation Bureau

Deputy Prime Minister Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng has granted an audience for a visiting delegation of China's Criminal Investigation Bureau, Ministry of Public Security.

During the meeting taking place here in Phnom Penh yesterday afternoon, Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng � who is also the Interior Minister and Chairman of National Committee for Counter Trafficking in Persons � warmly welcomed the delegation led by Mr. Chen Shiqu, Deputy Director of the China's Criminal Investigation Bureau.

According to H.E. Ms. Chou Bun Eng, Secretary of State for Interior and Permanent Vice-Chairwoman of National Committee for Counter Trafficking in Persons, the Chinese delegation came to Cambodia for work review meeting guided by the 2016 bilateral agreement on human trafficking.

Mr. Chen Shiqu shared with Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng the update from the meeting, second of its kind, and that the Cambodian and Chinese counterparts have agreed on the meeting reports with follow-up actions to address areas for improvement as well as priority for 2018.

The deputy prime minister expressed his appreciation of the work progress shared and was optimistic of further achievements of Cambodia and China and addressing human trafficking.
