DPM Prak Sokhonn to Deliver Remarks at the 6th Meeting of Foreign Ministers of CICA

H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will participate in and deliver keynote remarks at the 6th Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA), on Oct. 12 via videoconference.

The participation is made at the invitation of H.E. Mukhtar Tileuberdi, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, said a press release of the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

According to the source, under the theme: “Security and Sustainable development in Asia in new realities of the Post-pandemic World,” the Meeting will provide an opportunity for the participants to exchange views on how to further strengthen CICA cooperation; particularly in the post-COVID-19 pandemic recovery, and enhance peace, stability, and prosperity across the region.

In his remarks, H.E. Prak Sokhonn will commend CICA process contributing to regional peace, security, stability, and prosperity. He will touch on the topic of COVID-19 and its impacts on global peace and prosperity and international order. He is also expected to share his insightful and practical recommendations with the meeting for resilient and sustainable development for the post COVID-19 crisis.

H.E. Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn’s address in the meeting demonstrates Cambodia’s commitment to CICA cooperation and will also further strengthen and expand bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Republic of Kazakhstan for mutual benefit between the people of the two countries.
